What Are the Main Differences Between the 2020 Ram 1500 and 2020 Ram 1500 Classic? 

The differencea between the 2020 Ram 1500 and the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic are largely cosmetic. The fifth-generation redesign brought modernized good looks with sculpted accents, a futuristic 60/40-split tailgate and aerodynamic edges. Staying true to the last-generation truck, the Ram 1500 Classic takes on a more traditional look outlined by smooth curves and an aggressive wide grille design.

There are, of course, some functional differences between the two Ram 1500 variants as well. Across the entire Ram 1500 and Ram 1500 Classic collection, you’ll find a selection of three cab and three bed configurations available: 

Cab Styles:

Regular Cab: 2 doors, 3 passengers  

Quad Cab: 4 doors, 5 passengers  

Crew Cab: 4 doors, 6 passengers 

Bed Styles:

Short Bed: 5 ft, 7 in  

Standard Bed: 6 ft, 4 in  

Extended Bed: 8 ft 

The 2020 Ram 1500 is available as either a Quad Cab or a Crew Cab truck. They vary with seating capacity. The Quad Cab is only available with the short bed, while the Crew Cab gives you a choice between the short box or the standard box. Looking at the other side of the roster, the 2020 Ram 1500 Classic is also available with both the Quad Cab and Crew Cab, but its standard form is a Regular Cab. The Ram 1500 Classic can be equipped with the standard bed or the extended bed.
